It’s a weekend full of celebrations coming up at Mystery Mountain this weekend, March 18th and 19th!
The weather is going to be absolutely amazing with highs between -1C and -6C, so there is absolutely NO BETTER WEEKEND to get out skiing at Mystery Mountain than this weekend!
Saturday, March 18: 60 Years of Skiing in Thompson!
This year is a pretty big deal for the Thompson Ski Club: it marks 60 years of providing northern Manitobans with a place to ski and snowboard in northern Manitoba!
During the day, we’re going to have smokies and buns provided by Riverview Restaurant, an avalanche beacon demo and hunt (great fun for kids) between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, and our Sick-stieth Anniversary Rail Jam, with registration starting at 1:30pm (or email our organizer at kacperak@live.com to sign up ahead of time)! There’s fun prizes to win from Doug’s Source for Sports and ET Blades!
Starting at 5:30pm, we’re going to have a good ol’-fashioned potluck! Bring a dish, eat other peoples food, and meet some new skiing and snowboarding friends: it’s open to everyone!
When everyone is done eating, we’re going to turn the lights on on the slopes and enjoy some NIGHT SKIING! A Mystery Mountain potluck classic!
Sunday, March 19: VALE DAY!
Vale day is back! Vale employees, retirees, and their families can either pick up a free lift pass for the day, or an XC ski package and trail pass! For Vale families who are already Mystery Mountain members, they get free rental packages instead! BRING YOUR PLANT PASS TO GET THE DEAL!
We usually host a second Vale day for employees who can’t attend the first day because of their shifts, and we’re still figuring out when that second day will be (we’ll announce it when it comes up). Just remember the offer is valid for one time only: choose wisely!
There’s only so many days of skiing left in the 2022/2023 season! Come out this weekend and enjoy the best of winter while you can!
